- SITES COVERED BY THIS POLICY. This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”), applies to all websites and domains owned by Heavy Metal Training Institute, LLC (“HMTI”), except that a privacy policy posted on an HMTI website specific to that website will apply instead of this Policy.
- STATEMENT OF PURPOSE. HMTI understands the importance of protecting its customers’ personal information. This Policy explains how HMTI uses and secures the information it collects from its websites. This Policy may change over time and will be effective when posted. - PRIVACY OF CHILDREN. HMTI encourages parents and guardians to be aware of and participate in their children’s online activities. We strictly adhere to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act and will not knowingly collect, use or disclose personal information from any child under the age of 13 in any manner that violates this law.
- PHISHING SCAMS. It is a policy of HMTI to not send unsolicited emails seeking certain highly sensitive personal information, such as social security number, date of birth or credit card number. In the event you receive such an email, and you have not previously been in direct contact with its sender, please do not respond and do not open any attachments as they may contain malicious code that will infect your computer.
- SECURITY. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, HMTI has put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial safeguards to secure the information it collects online. HMTI websites maintain industry standard security measures to protect the loss, misuses and alteration of the information under its control.
