Now Accepting Applications For New Students

VINITA, OK – Classes begin Wednesday, September 18, 2019, for the first students enrolled at Heavy Metal Training Institute (HMTI). This vocational school is offering several courses for commercial drivers, including Commercial Driver’s license, Commercial Learner’s Permit, Commercial Endorsements, and School Bus Permits. Participants must be 18 or older, have a valid driver’s license, pass a DOT drug test/physical, and have a good driving record. Tuition assistance and scholarship programs are available.

“The shortage of CDL drivers is at an all-time high, said school owner Bobbie Wolf. “HMTI students will be prepared to pass all the necessary tests for a Class “A” license with no restrictions. We even supply the truck and trailer and set up the test date.”

The Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) program is a four-week course. Students earn their CLP and undergo training to earn their Oklahoma CDL. This course includes pre-trip inspection, defensive driving, coupling, backing maneuvers, basic road skills, and more. Students are supervised and gain defensive driving and basic road skills by our in-house trainers. The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety administers the CDL test on-site for our students at the end of the course.

HMTI is a learning institution licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Private Vocational Schools (OBPVS). It offers fast track courses at an affordable price, practical hands-on training, and industry experienced instructors. The campus is located at 103 South Wilson Street in Vinita, Oklahoma.
