VINITA, OK – Heavy Metal Training Institute (HMTI) is pleased to announce it is open for business at 103 South Wilson Street in Vinita. The school is owned and operated by Bobbie Wolf. The community is invited to the grand opening celebration on Friday, October 4, 2019, at 2:00pm. Guests can tour the school, meet the faculty and students, and learn more about HMTI’s mission of training today for careers tomorrow.
The first students enrolled at HMTI started class on Wednesday, September 18. This vocational school is offering several courses for commercial drivers, including Commercial Driver’s license, Commercial Learner’s Permit, Commercial Endorsements, and School Bus Permits. Participants must be 18 or older, have a valid driver’s license, pass a DOT drug test/physical, and have a good driving record. Tuition assistance and scholarship programs are available.
The Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) program is a four-week course. Students earn their CLP and undergo training to earn their Oklahoma CDL. This course includes pre-trip inspection, defensive driving, coupling, backing maneuvers, basic road skills, and more. Students are supervised and gain defensive driving and basic road skills by our in-house trainers. The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety administers the CDL test on-site for our students at the end of the course.
HMTI is a learning institution licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Private Vocational Schools (OBPVS).
